To give you some background on this... I have been working on an online commission project called "Oog" for de Volksrant newspaper for the past year and half. The project is curated by Nanette and it involves creating art/animations that relate to recent or significant events in the news.

In 2006 Nanette organized an event that brought "Oog" out of online enviroment into a live event as part of a city founded new media event called "PICNIC '06".

"OogLive" lasted for about an hour and a half and included a variety of performances: dance, poetry, cartooning, video artists, musicians, singers and even a medium/spiritualist!

Nils from Drifter TV also performed so I hanged out with him. He took me around the city and I got to see the more residential area of Amsterdam which I thought was very relaxed and cozy. Below is a photo of a street performer that I took that day.
